Others were analysts, decoders, snoops, thieves, paymasters, safecrackers and cartographers.
He won his greatest acclaim through bold tactical operations. But he had stepped on too many bureaucratic toes and made too many enemies. Published three times a year by Columbia College for alumni, students, faculty, parents and friends. Donovan stole secrets from the Soviets before the dawn of the Cold War and had intense battles with Winston Churchill and British spy chiefs over foreign turf.
